Deciding whether to take up residential care can be a somewhat daunting and anxious time for all concerned. We realise this and would therefore reassure you that it is our prime objective to maintain and encourage residents independence and dignity, by delivering sensitive, skilful care and support, thereby assisting new residents to adjust to a different lifestyle with a positive attitude, enabling them to live and enjoy a quality of life within their capabilities,

Accommodation is in 24 furnished and tastefully decorated single en-suite bedrooms. 14 Rooms in the old house and the remaining 10 in a purpose built extension (circa2001). The majority of these room are on the ground floor. residents are encouraged to re-create the atmosphere of their own home by personalising their rooms with items of their own furniture, and personal possessions.

The first lounge is in the front of the house, while the second is in the new wing and has patio doors that open out into the garden. It is a delightful garden in which to simple sit and enjoy the colourful surroundings or walk around the footpaths that allow easy access to all areas. The more active if they wish can lend a hand planting summer flowers in the pots or raised beds.

Medical cover for residents is provided by local GP practices and district Nurses and the services of opticians, dentists, chiropodists and physiotherapists are readily available.

The hairdresser visits Mead Lodge every two weeks and a personal shopping and newspaper service is also available. All personal clothing is laundered on the premises.

We are registered with the Commission for Social Care Inspection and comply with all National Care Standards.
